This chapter argues that hope, as a theological term, is menacing because it takes us away from where we are, to a place that cannot yet be apprehended. But hope is also an affirmation of life and future. This chapter explores the theology of hope through the motifs of creation, the challenge of radical evil, and the promise of eschatology.
